Burn-Calories By Lifting

It is easy to burn-calories. You don't even have to move. The problem most of us have is we don't burn enough. We usually take in more then we burn off that is why we gain weight.

When we start gaining weight most of us jump on the treadmill or the elliptical for some cardio which is good, but there are other things we can do. Lifting weights is a great way to burn-calories. We continue to burn long after we have stop lifting.

Let me clear something up right now just because you are lifting weights that doesn't mean you are going to gain weight. How you eat has a lot to do with gaining and losing weight.

Lifting to gain or lose the same rules apply. You need to cycle your workouts. What that means is you need to make changes on a regular basis. Usually every six weeks.

What I like to do is lift heavy for six weeks then go light for six weeks. Then I do super set(doing 2 exercises back to back with no rest in between) for six weeks. And I finish with one minute sets(do every set for one minute without stoping)for six weeks, then I start the cycle all over again.

Continue to do cardio make sure you are doing intervals for maxium results.
