Where is Your Core and
How do we Strengthen it

The Core is the most misunderstood part of the body. Most people hear the word and they think abs. The abs are only a part. Your lower back, Obloquies, and your stabilizers are also a part.

Your stabilizers are the most neglected simply because most of us are not even aware of what they are. Our stabilizers are what stops us from falling down.

Most adults stop working there stabilizers after we learn how to ride a bike. The best way to strengthen your stabilizers is to do anything that challenges your balance. I personaly pefer the BOSU ball.

Weight training is a great way to improve your inner strength it Demonstrating core work certainly is not the only way. Yoga has been around for years and I have taken several classes from a lot of instructors. Some were good, some were not so good. If you have tried yoga in the past and didn't like it for what ever reason I urge you to try a different instructor.

Pilates is another great way to strengthen and tone. I really like pilates because it helps in a lot of areas. Both pilates and yoga are great ways to stretch out you muscle. It also helps with lower back pain.

For those of you who pefer weight lifting try doing your exercises off balance. For example do your bicep curls standing on one leg. Or dumbbell flies on side at a time.

Sounds simple dosen't it? It is just that simple. You need to use lighter weight but other then that everything else stays the same.

Your abs are a major part of your core so don't neglect them, just make sure you hit the entire area.
