Prevent Heart-Attacks
Heart-Attacks are one of our biggest killers in this country. It's a shame because there are so many things we can do to prevent it. There are no guarantees but we can shift the odds in our favor.
The first thing we need to do is see our doctor. We need to have our blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides checked. We should also do a stress test to make sure our heart is strong. Ounce we get past all of that we need to create a
Healthy-Lifestyle for a long and happy life.
The next thing we need to do is get our eating under control. Our diet should consist of
low fat high fiber foods to help prevent heart-attacks.
Most of us think eating healthy is boring, but it doesn't have to be we just need to be creative.
Now we are ready to exercise. How we proceed depends on what the doctor found. If we have any problems with our blood pressure or our stress test we need to start slow.
We should do some light to moderate cardio.
Let's try and stay in our fat burning zone.
We can also do some moderate weight lifting. I strongly recommend using a personal trainer so if something goes wrong there is someone there to get help. I have seen 3 men have heart attacs while doing cardio. That is why we need to get checked first.
If everything checked out ok at the doctor we can be a little more vigorous with our workouts. When we do our cardio we should be working towards our fitness goals. Weather it's gaining weight or losing fat. Choose the appropriate workout.
